SalTea Sloth
A Mobile Ordering and Loyalty App Built to Replace the Counter, Not Just Supplement It
Executive Summary
SalTea Sloth is a specialty tea and beverage retailer operating physical locations without a modern mobile ordering layer. Enorness built a native mobile app, running on the GrabEasy ordering engine, that handles the full customer journey: browsing a seasonal menu, ordering ahead, and tracking loyalty, tied to biometric login so returning customers don't re-enter their details every visit.
The Operational Bottleneck
Physical store locations lacked modern digital touchpoints. Every order that could have been placed ahead of a visit instead happened at the counter, which caps throughput at however fast a single line can move.
Inconsistent on-premise checkout flows limited repeat visits. Without a loyalty mechanism tied to how customers actually order, a returning customer had no built-in reason to prefer coming back over any other beverage option nearby.
The Automated Solution
A menu built for what's actually seasonal
The app runs a full ordering menu across drink categories, teas, specialty drinks, shakes, smoothies, and merchandise, with promotional and seasonal items, holiday and themed drink features among them, surfaced directly in the browsing flow rather than buried in a static list.
Order ahead, skip the line
Customers browse, add to cart, and pay inside the app before arriving, turning a counter transaction into a pickup.
Biometric login and a persistent loyalty card
Returning customers sign in with Face ID or fingerprint rather than re-entering credentials every visit, and a digital loyalty card carries their status and rewards across every order, tying repeat visits to an actual incentive rather than goodwill alone. A recurring monthly tea option is built into the same ordering flow.
The Measured Outcome
Order-level data from the live deployment shows a small, active core of the registered base doing most of the repeat ordering, and that core coming back at a rate well above typical loyalty-app behavior.
Where the opportunity sits now
Order volume and new customer acquisition slowed through the first half of 2026, alongside a drop in outbound activity, only 63 push notifications sent across the full engagement to date. The customers who do use the app return quickly and often, which shows the ordering and loyalty mechanics are working as designed. The open opportunity is reactivation and reach: bringing more of the 1,582 registered customers into that first order, and re-engaging the base that has gone quiet, through the marketing channels the app already supports, push, in-store promotion, and loyalty offers, rather than through further product changes.
Ideal For
Multi-location food and beverage retailers that want to move repeat orders off the counter and into a loyalty-driving mobile experience, without building a generic ordering wrapper, and that plan to pair the app with an active marketing cadence.
Why Enorness
SalTea Sloth needed retail technology that felt native to how people already order tea, not a generic ordering template with a new logo. Pairing the ordering flow with loyalty and biometric login in one build is what made it feel like a real replacement for the counter, and the order data since launch shows that mechanism holding up in daily use.
