Peer-to-Peer Gifting Platform

FinTech / Payments

Gifting should feel personal, not transactional. Discover the app that turns money into meaningful gifts with wishlists & rewards.

A Peer-to-Peer Gifting Platform Built Around Wishlists Instead of Transfers

Executive Summary

GetGFTD is a digital gifting platform that lets people send money as a gift rather than a plain transfer, tied to what the recipient actually wants rather than a bare balance. Enorness built the mobile app end to end: peer-to-peer payment rails, wishlists, and a rewards layer that keeps people coming back to give again.

The Operational Bottleneck

Traditional money transfers feel completely transactional. Sending someone money for a birthday or a wedding through a standard payment app looks identical to paying rent or splitting a bill. There's no way to attach occasion or intent to the transaction itself.

On the receiving end, e-commerce shoppers lack flexible, integrated wishlist options. Wishlists tend to live inside individual retailers, disconnected from each other and from the people who might actually buy from them, so gifting stays guesswork unless someone asks directly.

The Automated Solution

Peer-to-peer payments built on Stripe

Enorness integrated Stripe's payment rails to move money person to person securely, with a running balance, transaction history, and send-and-receive flows built specifically around gifting rather than adapted from a generic payments template. The app surfaces a live balance and lets a user view or send a gift directly from a contact's profile.

Wishlists as the center of the product

Every item added to a wishlist carries its own price, tax, and tip, along with the store it came from and a link back to that store, so a wishlist functions as an actual purchasing instruction rather than a vague list of ideas. Items can be added from any store a user names, not a closed catalog, with photos captured by camera, gallery, or emoji.

Charity portals and referral rewards

Beyond individual gifting, the platform supports custom charity portals for organized giving, and a referral and rewards system that gives people a reason to bring friends onto the platform rather than using it once and leaving.

The Measured Outcome

GetGFTD is a new platform, and adoption metrics weren't part of this engagement's reporting scope, so this case study reports what was delivered rather than a performance number collected after launch.

Consumer fintech and social commerce brands that want gifting or peer-to-peer payments to feel personal and occasion-specific, rather than indistinguishable from a standard money transfer.

Why Enorness

GetGFTD needed a payments engine and a consumer product built as one system, not a payment integration handed off to a separate design team. That's the pairing Enorness builds every engagement around.
