AI-Powered Fan Engagement Platform
Event TechBoost fan engagement with Spark Compass, Enorness's white-label platform featuring geofencing, BLE beacons, real-time campaigns, and loyalty automation.
A White-Label Engagement Platform Built to Turn Passive Attendees Into Active Participants
Executive Summary
Spark Compass is Enorness's white-label fan engagement and venue activation platform, built for sports teams, racing organizations, stadiums, and event organizers that need more from an event app than a schedule and a content feed. Enorness engineered the platform once as a reusable, multi-tenant system rather than as a one-off build, so a new organization can launch a fully branded engagement experience on shared architecture instead of commissioning a separate application from scratch.
The platform has since been deployed as white-label solutions for SparkSea and Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, two different organizations in two different industries running on the same underlying system.
The Operational Bottleneck
Traditional event applications gave attendees a schedule and little else. People installed the app once, opened it a handful of times around the event, and had no reason tied to their actual presence at the venue to come back.
Organizers had no visibility into how people moved through a venue or what they engaged with once they arrived. Every attendee received the same generic notification regardless of location, and sponsors had no reliable way to confirm a fan had actually engaged with an activation rather than walked past it.
Updating a campaign meant waiting on an app store release cycle. A new promotional offer, sponsor activation, or change to how points were earned could not go live without a submission to the App Store or Google Play, which meant campaigns were planned around release timelines rather than around the event itself.
The Automated Solution
Location-aware engagement without asking for it
Enorness built a geofencing and Bluetooth Low Energy beacon layer that detects, with permission, when a fan enters a venue, approaches a sponsor zone, or reaches a checkpoint, so location-triggered engagement runs continuously in the background instead of depending on the attendee to open the app and look for something to do. Beacon coverage extends this indoors, where GPS accuracy typically breaks down, giving stadiums and large venues precise positioning for sponsor booths, VIP areas, and interactive exhibits.
A rules engine instead of a fixed feature set
Every tracked trigger, a geofence entry, a QR code scan, a notification open, a beacon detection, can be configured to fire one or more automated actions: awarding loyalty points, unlocking content, surfacing a promotional offer, or notifying a staff member. Organizers build and adjust these workflows themselves through the administrative dashboard, so a new campaign goes live immediately instead of waiting on an app update.
Content and campaigns that update without a release
A CMS-driven architecture lets administrators publish news, event information, sponsor campaigns, and promotional banners directly, with changes reflected in the app instantly instead of sitting in an app store review queue.
One architecture, many brands
The white-label layer lets each organization configure its own branding, navigation, rewards structure, and user journeys on top of the same underlying platform, so a new client launch does not require a new application built from the ground up. SparkSea and Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing both run on this architecture today, each with its own branded experience.
The Measured Outcome
Spark Compass predates the reporting structure used on more recent engagements, so usage and adoption data from the SparkSea and Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing deployments were not captured as part of this case study. What follows is what the platform replaced and what shipped in its place.
Before | After |
Generic notifications sent to every attendee regardless of location | Messaging targeted by geofence, campaign history, and membership tier |
Campaign changes required a new app store release | Campaigns and content updated instantly through the CMS and rules engine |
No visibility into how attendees moved through a venue | Geofencing and BLE beacon tracking of entry, exit, and sponsor zone activity |
A separate application built for every organization | One white-label architecture supporting multiple branded deployments |
Capability | What It Does |
Geofencing | Detects venue entry, exit, and sponsor zone proximity automatically |
BLE Beacon Positioning | Delivers accurate indoor location where GPS is unreliable |
Automation Rules Engine | Fires loyalty points, content unlocks, offers, or staff alerts from any tracked trigger |
Dynamic CMS | Publishes news, events, and sponsor campaigns without an app store release |
White-Label Configuration | Lets each organization brand, theme, and structure its own deployment on shared architecture |
Administrative Dashboard | Centralizes campaign, rewards, sponsor, and beacon management for non-technical staff |
Ideal For
Sports teams, racing organizations, stadiums, and event organizers running fan engagement or sponsor activation programs across multiple properties or seasons, who need one platform to support several branded deployments rather than a separate application for each.
Why Enorness
Spark Compass is not a single client build wearing a case study label. It is a platform Enorness engineered once and has since deployed under two different brands in two different industries, which is the proof that the underlying architecture was built to extend rather than to be rebuilt every time.
